OPITO Helideck Emergency Response Team Member
OPITO Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Course Overview
The aim of the Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Training programme is to equip offshore personnel with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform an Emergency Response Team Member role in offshore helideck and helicopter emergencies.
The main objectives are for delegates to understand the role and responsibilities of a Helideck Emergency Response Team Member and practice responding to a variety of helideck firefighting and non-firefighting emergency scenarios in a training environment.
Those delegates who already hold this initial entry qualification and require the FURTHER Helideck Emergency Response Team Member should click the link provided.

NOTE – Until 2019, personnel looking to obtain their HERTM or Team leader (HERTL), were required beforehand to gain their Helideck Assistant (HDA) and/or Helideck Landing Officer (HLO) certificates.
Anyone now looking to gain HERTM/HERTL certificates for the first time, or indeed have let them or the further versions lapse, must now obtain their OPITO Helideck Operations Initial Training (HOIT) and Dangerous Goods by Air Awareness (DGA) certificates beforehand. The HOIT replaces HAD/HLO certificates, and similarly has no expiry date.
Clyde Training Solutions also offer our Offshore Helideck Package, which combines the required HOIT and HERTM certificates, for only £2,695 exc. VAT.
