Course Overview:

This OPITO Approved Further Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain (Twin Fall) is designed to meet the further practice requirements not able to be met offshore for an Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain in the energy industry

Course Content:

This Product aims to provide Offshore Lifeboat Coxswains the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, and practice certain elements of their role which they cannot reasonably practise offshore.

By the end of the course, the learner will understand:

• Use of the sea anchor and maintaining the safety of passengers

The learner will perform:

• Preparing to Launch and Launching TEMPSC
• Moving TEMPSC to Safe Area and disembarkation procedures

Entry Requirements:

Attendance on this programme is open to learners who are in possession of valid certification for any of the following:

A valid OPITO BOSIET (any variation)

OR

A valid OPITO FOET (any variation)

AND

A valid Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Initial Training Certificate, of the corresponding fall type for the Further Training to be undertaken

OR

A valid Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Supplementary Training Certificate, of the corresponding fall type for the Further Training to be undertaken

OR

A valid Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Further Training certificate, of the corresponding fall type for the Further Training to be undertaken

Certification(s):

An OPITO Approved Certificate will be issued upon successfully completing the course, valid for 2 years.
