GWO Initial Entry – Standalone Training Courses Overview

At RelyOn Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland, we provide both offshore safety training & onshore safety training for the wind and renewables sector.

We’re proud to offer all five GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) courses, both for onshore & offshore work, at our dedicated GWO training centre in Glasgow, the only one of its kind in Central Scotland.

The state of the art facility offers multiple classrooms, dedicated deep-water pool, full fire training ground complete with training stack and Working at Height structures…ALL ON ONE SITE.

Our GWO training & certification courses equip delegates with the knowledge and competencies needed to work safely in wind turbine and generator environments.

Renewables employees entering the sector for the first time require GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certification courses or GWO initial entry training before being able to work in the environments mentioned above.

Here’s the full list of our current standalone GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) courses for those entering the renewables sector for the first time, or after a long absence:

Opening in July 2016, RelyOn Glasgow has quickly grown to become the central belt’s largest provider of marine, offshore and renewables safety training.

There are fantastic rail, road and air links to our GWO training centre in Clydebank, on the outskirts of Glasgow. Making us the premier choice for GWO training courses in Scotland.

The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards followed by RelyOn Glasgow are created by the industry, reflecting the risks wind technicians face at work.

GWO standards are established as contractual pre-requisite in the wind energy supply chain, helping align the safety training activities of all contractors.

Through adherence to these globally recognised standards, we can share risk information and expertise to create training standards that improve safety and build a competent workforce.
