The UK Chamber of Shipping’s Annual Dinner took place on Monday 4th February at London’s Park Lane Hilton, with Clyde Training Solutions taking the role of Silver Sponsors for the event.
Around 800 influential guests from across the shipping industry attended the showpiece event, at which several speakers covered prominent themes of interest.
Clyde Training Solutions was represented at the event by Director Colin McMurray.
Colin said: “We were very pleased to support the UK Chamber of Shipping as Silver Sponsors of its prestigious Annual Dinner.
“The sponsorship was an opportunity for Clyde Training Solutions to promote our leading training facilities and extensive range of marine courses to key decision makers within the shipping industry.
“As our reputation as a leading international Marine and Offshore Training provider continues to grow, we are confident that companies with marine or offshore workforces will be impressed by the quality of training and the cost efficiencies available to their business.”
At the dinner Chris Grayling, Secretary of State for Transport delivered a keynote speech on the collaborative work between industry and Government on the recently published Maritime 2050 plan.
Mr Grayling also emphasised the importance of safety standards, adding: “Maintaining safety is going to be absolutely critical if we are to maintain our place as a maritime leader.”
