Renewables Wind Sector (RWE) Armed Forces Transition Package – Overview:

Clyde Training Solutions have teamed up with ITB Competence Assurance Limited (ITB) to develop training packages specifically aimed at armed forces personnel wishing to transition to the Energy Sector.

This unique package has been especially designed for existing Armed Forces personnel, or those within transition period, who wish to work within the Renewables Sector.

The package contains all 5 mandatory Basic Safety Training (BST) elements listed below, required to work on both onshore and offshore wind farms worldwide, as well as the 1-day Transition Accelerator Programme (TAP™), which will equip you with the knowledge to make the transition to the Renewables sector, and which sets this training apart from any other provider.

This GWO (Global Wind Organisation – the Renewables Industry standard) and ITB approved course contains the following six elements:

Transition Accelerator Programme (TAP™)

The Transition Accelerator Programme (TAP™) will significantly assist and positively impact your transition into the Energy sector. It is unrivalled within industry, written by a Veteran who himself has worked in the industry for almost 20 years and who knows it well.

It is a no hole barred insight to the sector looking at many elements that includes:

  • how to get into the sector
  • what future skills are required with an overview of the industry
  • the cultures and behaviours required
  • your leadership role and a complete overview of the working life

TAP™ is an intensive value-added day that will work to your benefit.

GWO Basic Sea Survival Training

The aim of the GWO Basic Sea Survival Training element is, by theoretical and practical training to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills to act safely and take the correct preventive actions in all aspects of offshore operations from shore to installation vessel or WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) and vice versa, both during normal operation and in an emergency in an offshore wind energy environment.
