MIST (MINIMUM INDUSTRY SAFETY TRAINING STANDARD)
The aim of the MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training Standard) course is to introduce delegates who intend to work within the oil and gas industry, to the key safety elements outlined in the OPITO standard.
SHOULDER WIDTH MEASUREMENT
Guidelines state that all passengers travelling to North Sea Installations are required to sit in a seat where the nearest Push-out emergency exit window is compatible with their body size, and a helicopter Bideltoid measurement service – commonly known as the ‘Shoulder Width Measurement‘ – is required to make this assessment.
Please note that from the 26th March 2018, the following entry requirements have been implemented for this course.
You will now be required to hold a full OGUK offshore medical and an OGUK ‘Fit to Train’ / ‘Non Fit to Train’ certificate.
Evidence of these documents will need to be produced on the day of training at CTS.
