HUET training with CA-EBS

Offshore Training


OPITO approved Helictoper Underwater Escape training (HUET) with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) is designed to prepare delegates for helicopter travel to-and-from offshore oil and gas facilities.

It equips delegates with the pre-flight and in-flight skills and knowledge they require in the event of an emergency or helicopter evacuation.

This particular OPITO standard course has been developed specifically to meet Aviation Regulation requirements in the UK / North Sea.

We also provide BOSIET and FOET refresher courses for delegates looking to revalidate their existing certificate:



Here are the learning objectives that delegates need to meet following the HUET training with CA-EBS course:

  • Demonstrate in a simulated environment that they can effectively use the safety equipment.
  • Follow offshore survival and safety procedures in preparing for, and during helicopter emergencies – with a specific focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching.



Please note that from the 26th March 2018, new entry requirements will be implemented for this course. You will now be required to hold a full OGUK offshore medical and an OGUK ‘Fit to Train’ / ‘Non Fit to Train’ certificate. Evidence of these documents will need to be produced on the day of training at CTS.

Alternatively, a valid and unrestricted ENG1 ‘medical fitness certificate to work at sea’ may be produced on the day of training.



All delegates are issued with OPITO approved HUET Training with CA-EBS certificates upon completion of course.
