FOET with CA-EBS and Escape Chute Training Course Overview
These OPITO approved training courses have been developed specifically to meet aviation regulation requirements in the UK/North Sea.
This package contains the following elements:
FOET with CA-EBS
The FOET with CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) training course allows delegates to practice and establish emergency response skills that are not possible to replicate during drills, exercises and offshore training that take place in the work environment.
- Demonstrate in a simulated environment that you can follow procedures and use the safety equipment required in preparing for and executing during helicopter evacuations and escapes following ditching
- Demonstrate the effective use of basic firefighting equipment
- Use self-rescue techniques in smoke-filled areas and other reduced visibility situations
- Gain an understanding of basic first aid
Escape Chute Training
The Escape Chute Training element consists of practical training, exercises and theoretical input recognised under the mutual acceptance of Basic Safety and Emergency Preparedness. Delegates are assessed in accordance with the OLF curriculum for additional training for Norwegian sector basic safety.
Please note that from the 26th March 2018, new entry requirements will be implemented for this course. You will now be required to hold a full OGUK offshore medical and an OGUK ‘Fit to Train’ / ‘Non Fit to Train’ certificate. Evidence of these documents will need to be produced on the day of training at CTS. Delegates are issued with OPITO approved FOET with CA-EBS and Escape Chute Training certificates upon completion of course.
