The Bridge Resource Management course introduces the concept of a navigation team to ship masters and watch officers enhancing their decision-making processes as would be expected of a safe and efficient team.
Bridge Resource Management techniques will emphasise decision making based upon conditions related to workload and potential threat to the vessel. It is designed to meet the Bridge Resource Management requirements detailed in Table A-II/I of the 2010 Manila amendments to the STCW Convention and Code.
Course Content:
The intent of the program is to define the individual task and responsibilities of the various team members while developing a situational awareness to prevent individual errors.
Our trainees can expect a high proportion of simulator time interspersed with lectures on human factors and decision making.

Teaching and Assessment: The course has a combination of both theoretical and practical scenarios. Continuous assessment throughout the course.
Entry Requirements:
Newly qualified OOW welcome. Navigational knowledge & Certificate of Competency required.
Certification(s):
Upon successful completion, delegates will be issued with a CTS issued Bridge Resource Management certificate.
