Basic Oil, Chemical and Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations
Course Overview:
This training is to give seafarers the essential education and training in tanker cargo operations to meet the knowledge, understanding and proficiency requirements set out by the IMO Convention and Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW Code). Table A-V/1-1–1 & A-V/1-2-1.
Course Content:
Training covers the following three elements:
- The learner knows the properties of Oil, Chemical and Liquefied gas, and the associated hazards
- The learner is able to apply health, safety and environmental precautions and measures in working on tankers
- The learner is able to carry out safe tanker cargo operations
Entry Requirements:
No pre-requites to attend Course
* NOTE : On completion of the course where tanker firefighting approved training has already been completed and the Candidate is a Trainee the Training centre will issue an approved MCA Certificate of Proficiency
**NOTE: On completion of the course where the Candidate does not meet the above criteria an approved MCA Certificate of Training will be issued.
