Total Offshore Training Package (BOSIET, Escape Chute Training, MIST & Shoulder Width Measurement)

OPITO Offshore Training Courses

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This OPITO approved course has been specifically designed to meet the Aviation Regulation requirements in the UK and certain international regions, and contains the following elements:

BOSIET with EBS and CA-EBS

The BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) course with CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) and EBS (Emergency Breathing System) provides delegates with a range of knowledge and skills relevant to travelling offshore by helicopter and working offshore.

ESCAPE CHUTE TRAINING

Within the Norwegian sector, all UK required certificates are accepted, however, the only stipulation is that Escape Chute Training is also required.

The programme consists of practical training and exercises and theoretical input of the required elements as recognised under the mutual acceptance of Basic Safety and Emergency Preparedness. Delegates are assessed in accordance with the OLF curriculum for Additional training for Norwegian sector basic safety.

MIST (MINIMUM INDUSTRY SAFETY TRAINING)

The aim of the MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training Standard) course is to introduce delegates who intend to work within the oil and gas industry, to the key safety elements outlined in the OPITO standard.

SHOULDER WIDTH MEASUREMENT

Guidelines state that all passengers travelling to North Sea Installations are required to sit in a seat where the nearest Push-out emergency exit window is compatible with their body size, and a helicopter Bideltoid measurement service is required to make this assessment.

CERTIFICATION:

All delegates are issued with OPITO approved certificates upon completion of course.
